Yes, it does capture audio. You can plug in a microphone to the Pengo 4K HDMI Grabber. OR you can plug in the microphone in the PC and the software will combine everything. The actual capture is done through a software on the computer. The Pengo 4K HDMI Grabber does not do any recording.
We recommend checking your DSLR output resolution and match our supported resolutions. Our 4K HDMI Grabber does not support 1080i. Some DSLR do not output 1080p, which is the resolution we support. If you still have questions, please write to us with a full description of your problem and settings.

The supported framerates during capture are: 640x480p, 60hz and 30hz 1280x720p, 60 hz and 30hz 1920x1080p, 60hz and 30hz. We do not support interlace. If you still have questions, please write to us with a full description of your problem and settings.
Our 4K HDMI Grabber does not.
The 4K HDMI Grabber does not support external Hard Drive for Data saving (HDD). It will still require a computer.
It really depends on the Kindle and the cable you are connecting it with.
1. The Kindle has to support video output of 640x480p, 1280x720p, 1920x1080p, 3840x2160p, 4096x2160p. Please make sure it's 'P' and not 'i'. We do not support 'i' (interlace). If the Kindle doesn't support video out, then our grabber will not support. These two resolutions need to match. Whatever the signal comes into the grabber, that's what we will output to the PC for recording. Our grabber does not do the recording. The recording still needs a computer and software.
2. The microB cable needs to convert to HDMI. Our device connector is via HDMI. Therefore as long as the cable can transmit video from MicroB to HDMI, then there should not be any issues.
Yes, as long as the device (i.e Macbook Pro) supports HDMI with 1080p or 720p. If you still have questions, please write to us with a full description of your problem and settings.
If you are having a black screen, make sure to turn off HDCP under PS4 settings. To find out how to turn off HDCP please check PS4 user manual.
Please make sure the device you are trying to capture is real 1080p. We do not support 1080i. Some devices advertise as 1080p but after a full test on the device, it's only outputting 1080i. The image will come out distorted if it's 1080i. Also the video settings on the software you are using might affect the images as well. Please check your video settings are correct. OBS settings are a bit more complicated and we recommend to follow our OBS quick set up guide.
If you are using OBS, try going into video output settings and change it to YUY2 settings. It should fix the problem.
Please make sure that your phone is updated to the latest iOS. Our Lightining to 3.5mm audio cable is MFi certified and thus it should not have any issues.
The volume control will work with iPad Pro 2018 as long as the headset microphone with 3.5mm jack is an android profile headset. Apple headphones(iPhone profile headset) will only play/pause with no volume control.
